Miguel Kertsman

Miguel Kertsman (*1965 in Recife, Brazil) is a Brazilian-American composer, keyboardist, music producer and university docent.
Composer[edit]
Miguel Kertsman is well-known for "capturing the unique mestizo spirit of Brazilian music"[1]. In 2016 he performed live during an ESports event by ZoopTEK at the Ars Electronica Festival.[2][3]
His works have been performed and recorded by Angelika Kirchschlager, John Williams, the Vienna Symphony Chamber Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra. Kertsman worked with conductor Dennis Russell Davies, flutists Wolfgang Schulz and Marina Piccinini.[4][5]
Teaching[edit]
Miguel Kertsman has taught at and been artist-in-residence at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts College in Chicago. He is the academic program director for the Master of Arts programs in Music for Applied Media and Music Management at Danube University Krems, for which he designed the curriculum.[6]
