Mike Pertz (born December 11, 1986 in Granger Township, Ohio) is an American soccer player who previously played for Real Maryland Monarchs in the USL Second Division.

Career

College and Amateur

Pertz attended Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and began his college soccer career at the University of Akron, redshirting his freshman season, before transferring to Mount Vernon Nazarene University as a sophomore in 2005. He transferred again, to Azusa Pacific University, in 2007,[1] where he finished his college career.

Professional

Undrafted out of college, Pertz played semi-professional indoor soccer with the Ohio Vortex during the 2009-10 Professional Arena Soccer League season.

After attending a tryout with the Portland Timbers,[2] Pertz signed to play for the Real Maryland Monarchs in the USL Second Division in 2010. He made his debut on April 27, 2010 in a game against Charleston Battery.[3]
