Minus Zero is an Indian autonomous vehicle company founded in 2020[1] by Gagandeep Reehal and Gursimran Kalra [2], involved in research and development of fully self driving cars for stochastic Indian traffic, with plans to enter Indian market along the lines of shared mobility in form of robotaxi.[3]
Minus Zero became the first company in India to test a self driving prototype vehicle live on unregulated public road in Jalandhar in April 2021 by retrofitting a e-rickshaw into an autonomous vehicle.[2][4][5] Their technology overcomes the need of using expensive LiDAR sensors, relying on camera sensor suite only powered by nature-inspired artificial intelligence algorithms requiring less computation and minimal training on extensive datasets.[6] The company expects their technology to be ready for the market by 2023.
