Mirillis Action! is a screen recording software that allows Windows desktop recording in HD video quality thanks to graphics processing unit (GPU) and a video codec developed by Mirillis (FIC - Fast Intra Compression standard).[1]
Mirillis Action! was developed and delivered to the global market in 2012.
The software is commercial and requires a product activation key. A free trial version is available for 30 days and allows for creating video recordings unlimited in time and taking screenshots without a watermark.
Mirillis Action! has three recording modes: games and applications mode using DirectX and OpenGL, active desktop recording mode and selected application recording mode.[2]
Mirillis Action! main functionality
The program allows for real time desktop and gameplay recording with audio soundtrack displaying current and average game framerate (FPS) during gameplay.[3] The users can upload files directly to website services and LIVE stream to such platforms as YouTube and Facebook[4]. During recording, real-time live streaming viewers counter statistics are displayed on HUD[5]
The software allows adding a webcam, and has an option of automatic background removal from the camera view.[6]
Mirillis Action! can record videos from websites and take screenshots of gameplays, running applications and desktop in JPG format.[7]
The program is equipped with Multicore CPU Support[8] and hardware accelerated video exporting with NVIDIA® CUDA or Intel® Quick Sync Video technologies.[9] It enables DirectX + OpenGL applications recording. Mirillis Action! records also to MP4 or AVI format and has a video recordings manager with thumbnail view.[10]
"Perfect Video Match" mode allows for precise recording of a selected application or window.[11]
System requirements
The program can be used with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10 operating systems.[12] It requires 512 MB of RAM memory and 50 MB of hard disk space.
