Mirza Shahzad Akbar is a Pakistani lawyer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf core committee member. He is currently an advisor and special assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan on Accountability and Interior. Shahzad Akbar was promoted from special assistant to advisor as federal minister since July 23, 2020.[1] Shahzad Akbar was the former deputy persecutor of the National Accountability Bureau.[2]

Akbar was the former deputy persecutor of National Accountability Bureau from 2004 to 2008.[3] On August 20, 2018 Prime minister Imran Khan appointed Akbar as a special assistant on Accountability and Interior.[4]
On July 23, 2020 Prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan promoted special assistant Shahzad Akbar to an adviser with federal minister authority.[5]
