Mitrais is an IT company which provides offshore development services. The company has three business units specialising in software development, hospital information systems, and mining industry software.[1]
Forrester Research had named Mitrais as Indonesia's largest provider of off-shore development services and fourth largest IT company in Indonesia (including multi-nationals).[2]

Mitrais was founded in year 2000 to address the offshore development market from Indonesia, aiming to be a leading near-shore software development service provider to Australian market, which over the years then spreads towards the ASEAN market.[3] The launch was in Bali, a holiday destination that is close to Australia.[4]
In 2004, Mitrais entered the health industry, developing a proprietary hospital management information system which is sold in several countries. The Mitrais Medical Suite (MMS) is the company’s scalable flagship hospital information system.
In 2007, it absorbed Mincom Indoservices, entering the mining industries. The company extended its operations into the sale and support of mining software, in particular from supplier Mincom, in Indonesia. Mitrais expanded its operation in Bali as its number increases in response to rising demand for offshore software development services.[5] The new office building was inaugurated in 2009.
In 2010, Mitrais Pty Ltd was established in Australia to strengthen the stronghold on the Australian market. In the same year, Mitrais Bandung office celebrated its opening.
Mitrais celebrated two more development centres in the following years, Yogyakarta in 2013 and Hanoi, Vietnam in 2015.
In 2014, Forrester Research named Mitrais as Indonesia's largest provider of off-shore development services and fourth largest IT company in Indonesia.[6]
The company has a Microsoft Gold Software Development competency.[7] They have also built partnerships with MuleSoft, Sparx Systems, Jaspersoft and EPiServer to augment their software development service quality.
Among its clientele are the TechnologyOne,[8] FinancialLine,[9] and ABB Enterprise Software (previously known as Ventyx/Mincom).[10]
YKIP[edit]
Following the Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005 when death, injury and social upheaval affected many of the Balinese population, the company established the YKIP (Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi, or Humanitarian Foundation for Mother Earth) which aims to help the needy in Bali through health and education programs. Mitrais managed the medical donations which arrived in Bali immediately after the bombing, and provided pro-bono office space, accounting, IT, internet and other volunteer services. Senior Mitrais employees form the YKIP management board.[11]
