Mosiur Rehman (born 1994) is a published author and screen-writer. He also has deep interest in painting and singing. He is also the founder of a start-up publishing company which strives to discover hidden talent.
Life[edit]
Mosiur Rehman was born in India on 26 February 1994. He was born in a family of poor peasants in Raipur, a rural area in the state of West Bengal. His early childhood passed in great difficulty. His father owned a bullock cart which was a major means of transportation in that area. He was sent to a local primary school where he did not study and ran back to home. His parents were troubled about his future because they did not want him to work in the field like they did. He spent most of his childhood doing nothing but playing with friends all day. By the time he was six, his parents worked hard to send him to an English medium school where he stayed in the boarding. He lived there for the next 16 years and when he graduated, he had a collection of poems written which reflected his isolation and homesickness. He never saw the school as a second home but it felt as if it was a prison to him.
Later Life and success[edit]
He moved to Tamil Nadu for further education and since that time he wanted to see his poetry in print. One of his poems on global warming won him the first prize in state level and then, a publisher in Chennai offered to publish his book. That was the moment when his life changed and he became a full time writer. But writing did not pay him enough and it was hard to meet ends, so he continued his education to get a job. Meanwhile, he had his second book Aphrodite, a play in four acts, ready and it was first submitted to Amazon Studios where he ranked second in the forty-five-day premise war. Not securing the first position, he went on to publish the play and it has brought him great success. He then worked as a script writer for The Lambda House films and alongside he started his own publishing house, Woven Words Publishers, to publish quality fictions and non-fictions and to discover young talents and promoting them. He has been publishing authors all over the world since then and he has been interviewed by FreePress Journal Newspaper in 2017 because of his company’s success as the fastest developing publishing house in West Bengal. In 2016 he met the writer Laura Solomon and began to publish her work. He was instrumental in continuing Laura’s career after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had surgery. In 2017 he signed a contract to partner with Juggernaut books.
