Mpu Tanakung
Mpu Tanakung also known as Mpu Tanakun was a Javanese Hindu poet from the Kediri Kingdom who lived in the late 15th century. He wrote the famous Śiwarātrikalpa and Wrtasañcaya. One of the first Hindu revivalists, he sought to reinvigorate Hinduism in Malacca and Java by bringing the observance of Maha Shivaratri to Indonesia.[1]
He is only identified by the epilogue of the Śiwarātrikalpa, where he states
It is the work of a poet not accomplished in poetic arts, who bears the name of Tanakuti
