Muhammad Madu Yunusa

Dr. Muhammad Madu Yunusa is a Nigerian lecturer and academic, currently serving as the acting Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum. Before his appointment to the seat of Provost, he held the position of Deputy Provost for more than a tenure and was also the former Head of Department in the department of Agricultural Education under the School of Vocational Education.[1]

Early life and Education[edit]

Yunusa was born to a Babur family. He was born and grown up in Biu which was the Bura-Pabir ancestral land in Borno State. He attended Mandafuma Primary School from 1976-1981. Then he proceeded to Comprehensive Secondary School Waka-Biu for his Senior Secondary Education from 1981-1986. From the year 1986-1991, he studied Agricultural Science in the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. After the Mandatory one year National service at Akure, the then Ondo State capital. He joined the service of Yobe State Teaching Service Board as classroom teacher at the Government Senior Science Secondary School Potiskum from 1993-1997.[2]

Early career[edit]

Dr. Yunusa started his career as a teacher in Government Senior Science Secondary School Potiskum from 1993-1997 before he left to joined the service of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum as a Lecturer III in the Department of Agricultural Science in 1997. During this period, Dr. Yunusa put more effort in study and had a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) certificate from the University of Maiduguri in the year 2003 and Computer Operation certificate from the consultancy unit of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum in 2007. He also had Post graduate Diploma in Public Administration and policy from University of Maiduguri. Dr. Yunusa had his Master and Ph.D. Degrees in Animal production from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria in 2009 and 2016 respectively. He rose through the ranks to the position of Chief lecturer. He is a member of many professional bodies, such as Nigerian Society of Animal Production (NSAP), National Association of Research and Development (NARD), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and a Fellow Charted Institute of Public Diplomacy Management (FCIPDM )

Personal life[edit]

Dr. Yunusa is happily married to three wives and has children. His first born son was retained in the Yobe State University and was employed as a junior lecturer upon graduating with first class honors from the university.
