Brooklyn Central University was founded by James Harrison Ford Jr. in 1953.

With a total set of 6 class rooms which could accommodate 150 students. James H.F. Jr.had a dream of making quality higher education affordable and accessible to all and believed in a chance to be given to cope up with fast pace educational needs.
In 1964, Brooklyn Central University was approved start an evening program which would make higher education available for working adults, as a having over 300 graduates every year.
In 1974 after the death of its founder, the university encountered major financial crisis. Brooklyn Central University, was deprived from their regular program and had an annual grad count of less than 150 alumni.
