Brooklyn Central University was founded by James Harrison Ford Jr. in 1953.
History
With a total of 6 classrooms which could accommodate 150 students, James H.F. Jr. had a dream of making quality higher education affordable and accessible to all and believed in giving everyone a chance to cope with the fast pace of educational needs.
In 1964, Brooklyn Central University was approved to start an evening program which would make higher education available for working adults, graduating over 300 students every year.
In 1974, after the death of its founder, the university encountered a major financial crisis. Brooklyn Central University was deprived of its regular program and had an annual graduate count of less than 150 alumni.

Brooklyn Central University is now funded and operated by a for-profit investor and has over 25,000 students graduating every year from all across the globe.
