History[edit]
'''Mukutdhari Prasad Chauhan'''
One such important name who participated in the freedom movement is Mukutdhari Prasad Chauhan. When Mahatma Gandhi came to Champaran in 1917 to become the voice of the farmers suffering from the oppression of the British, Mukutdhari became his ally. Crowned Prasad Chauhan and Raj Kumar Shukla played important roles in Gandhiji's Champaran Satyagraha. He also played an active role in the Salt Movement of 1930 and the Quit India Movement of 1942. He also went to jail several times during the movement. Thank you.
