Oliver Brotherhood (born in 1 December 1995), better known by his online alias Mumbo Jumbo or Mumbo, is a youtuber famous for his Minecraft videos related to redstone circuits[1], as well as his participation on the Hermitcraft server and is considered to be one of the best and most-known Minecraft Redstone Youtubers.[2] He started his Youtube career on 31 March 2012 and he currently has over 8 million subscibers and over 2,5 billion views. He has been part of the Hermitcraft servrer since the start of season 2 and he is the most subscribed of the Hermits. He also makes short films and mini-documentaries for his second channel.

Early life[edit]

Oliver Brotherhood was born in Farnham, England. Around 2009, he started making videos about BMX and Call of Duty with his friends. On the 19th June 2011 he launched his first Youtube channel, MrOliBrotherhood, which currently has 70 subscribers and 1000 views in total.[3] He also had a job delivering newspapers in his neighbourhood.[3]

Before Hermitcraft[edit]

On the 31st March 2012 Oliver launched his main YouTube channel, Mumbo Jumbo, where he uploads Minecraft related videos about the technical side of the game, known as Redstone.

HermitCraft[edit]

In June 2013, Mumbo was invited to join the Hermitcraft server.

Copyright issue[edit]

On 19th May 2019 Mumbo received emails saying that more than 400 of his videos had been claimed by Warner Chappell for the song use in his intros despite Mumbo having written permission to use the song from the creator, ProleteR. The issue was that the creator hadn't stated that the music contained uncleared samples from Warner Chappell's catalog.[4][5]
