Murder of Jenjira Ploy-angunsri
The murder of Jenjira Ploy-angunsri took place in Thailand in 1998. Jenjira was killed on 26 January, and subsequently dismembered, by her boyfriend Serm Sakhonrat, a medical student. The case received sensational media coverage, and brought public attention to the investigatory role of medical forensics and the work of Pornthip Rojanasunand.
