Muriel K. Rand
Muriel Kappenberg Rand (born Muriel Louise Kappenberg; 1959-) is an author for Merrill-Pearson Education and NAEYC as well as professor at New Jersey City University. She has self-published two practical textbooks on classroom management, for both early childhood and preschool level.

Dr. Rand has 3 children. Her daughter, Catherine Rand, illustrated her two most recent books, as well as her weekly professional blog, http://www.thepositiveclassroom.org/. Her son, Jason Rand, is a composer.[1]
