Alhaji Musa Musawa also known as Musawa was born on (April 1, 1937) in Bichi local government of Kano State, Nigeria. he was the youngest son in the family of three. He was nurtured by his aunt after the death of his mother, He has lived an exemplenary especially in the nigerian political atmosphere. He is the father to the Nigerian minister of Culture Hannatu Musawa [1] who was also the former spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council,[2]
Background
Alhaji musa musawa lost his mother at a young age but was taken and nurtured by his aunt in his mother's village. even with alot of life huddles musawa was able to work hard to persue his educational goals and even climb to the top ladder of nigerian politic where he contributed in the fight for independance[3][4]
Educational Journey
Musawa attended both his Primary and secondary school in Kano State, He proceeded to University of Ife where he obtained a degree in public Administration.[5]
Career in journalism
He first statted his career in journalism after university in BBC African Service, where he worked for the period of five years.
Political career
He was the dedicative activist and a member or of Northern elements Progressive Union(NEPU). He along side other comrades contributed alot in the fight for independance and complete liberation of nigerial people.[6] he bedded with malam Aminu kano at a conservative People redemption party (PRP) that was formed during nigerian second republic, where he emerged as the treasurer of the party and later contested for the governor of Kano state in 1983[7]
His daughter Hannatu descibed him as a radical politicial[8]
Death
He died on 8th of march, 2023 after a protracted illness.[9] President bola ahmad tinubu of nigeria said a tribute to his death[10]
