History
NOCD was founded after Stephen Smith’s personal struggle with undiagnosed OCD during college. Following a difficult and confusing treatment journey, Smith discovered Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy and sought to make it more accessible to others. Services

Funding
In September 2021, NOCD raised $33 million in Series B funding to expand its therapist network and accelerate growth. The round was led by F-Prime Capital with participation from 7wireVentures, Kaiser Permanente Ventures, and others.[3]
In January 2023, the company announced it had raised an additional $34 million in a funding round co-led by Cigna Ventures and 7wireVentures, with participation from Longitude Capital. The funding aimed to scale operations and support product innovation.[4]
Partnerships
In May 2022, comedian and television host Howie Mandel joined NOCD to launch the #KnowOCD campaign. Mandel, who lives with OCD, partnered with the company to raise awareness and encourage accurate diagnosis and treatment.[5]
Recognition
In 2021, NOCD was included in the CB Insights Digital Health 150 list, highlighting it as one of the world’s most promising digital health startups.[6]
