Nappr is a US-based travel and hospitality technology company that offers 2 to 12-hour hotel stays at a discounted rate. Users can reserve rooms at partner hotels through Nappr's web and mobile platform. The service is aimed at travelers, office workers, commuters, long-haul drivers, and anyone in need of accessible rest during the day.

History

Nappr was publicly launched in 2023 by entrepreneur Jared Lerner in New York City, under the parent company Forty Winks LLC. The idea was born out of Lerner's personal experiences with chronic sleep issues and a desire to make rest more accessible in urban settings. Nappr's mission is to help people find a comfortable place to rest within 10 to 15 minutes of wherever they are.[1][2]

Platform

Nappr partners with major hotel brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and Sheraton to offer users access to unsold daytime inventory. Through dynamic scheduling, fixed time-slot options (2 to 12 hours), and flexible check-in windows, Nappr helps hotels monetize rooms that would otherwise remain vacant during off-peak hours.[3][4]

Growth

At launch, Nappr had 10 local hotels in the New York City area. Six months later, they had over 1,000,[5] and as of 2025, they have onboarded over 1,100 hotels in 29 countries. The company also expanded its team with key hires, including a CTO, CMO, CFO, Head of Partnerships, and Social Media Manager.[6]

Recognition

Notable coverage includes:

  • KTLA 5 Los Angeles[7]
  • FounderSquare – where Jared Lerner was named one of the "Top 24 Founders of 2024"[8]
  • Hospitality Technology Magazine[3]
  • Global Business Travel Association[4]

Future Plans

Nappr plans to expand into proprietary airport nap locations to better serve travelers experiencing long layovers or red-eye fatigue. The company also aims to build out corporate partnerships and wellness-focused integrations for employee rest and recovery.[3]
