Nasib Baytar
Mohamed Nasib Ahmed Uday Baytar (June 7, 1953 – February 22, 2011) was an Emirati journalist of Jordanian heritage. He is one of the early contributors to Wikipedia Encyclopedia, which influenced his career in media in Dubai; throughout a long working journey that was mostly at Dubai television, where he worked after graduating from the American University in Beirut in 1974. He was one of the producers at Dubai TV. He worked on televised programs until he became the executive director, and he retired a few years before his death. He also supervised many locally documented programs on Emirati heritage, from traditions and folk crafts to cultures.
He was also proficient in presenting remarkable proposals for the programs he supervised, which made Dubai television programs an important presence in the Arab media. He also worked as the director at "station 33" which is now called Dubai One, broadcasting from Dubai in English language. In addition to supervising television programs for 30 years at Dubai television,[1] he held the position of general director of the Emirati “Arabic production company,” which, aside from its production work, also supervised three other broadcast stations.
