Navraj Goraya (known by his stage name Nav) is a Canadian rapper and record producer from Toronto, Canada who is well known for hit singles such as "The Man", "Myself" and "Up". He recently signed to The Weeknd's label, XO, in 2016.

Early life

Navraj Goraya was born on November 3, 1989, in Toronto. He grew up in the Rexdale neighborhood of Toronto and is of Indian descent. He also has an older sister.

Nav began his career by producing several songs under the name "Navraj Beats" for a long time friend known as Frost. Nav has independently uploaded eight solo singles, all with over 5 million plays each, respectively. "Take Me Simple" is considered his debut single, but he has many songs out that are not on his SoundCloud, such as "Mission", "Brown Boy", "She Know", and "Over". Nav hasn't released a full length project, let alone an EP, and has gotten mainstream attention along with a record deal. Travis Scott's "Beibs in the trap" features Nav with a catchy hook along with a verse. Nav and Metro Boomin have a collaborative album coming in 2017.
