Naveen Kumar Bethiganti (aka Abhay Bethiganti) is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Telugu films. He gained recognition with his role in Pelli Choopulu (2016).[1] In addition to his supporting roles, Naveen made his debut as a lead with Tharun Bhascker's B.Tech (Web series)[2][3] that debuted on ZEE5. His latest release Pitta Kathalu on Netflix got him a lot of praises[4] and he is currently developing a film titled "Ramanna Youth" which he is also writing, directing and is also the lead protagonist.

Early Life[edit]

Born in Siddipet, to a Government school Principal, Rajaiah Bethiganti and Vasantha Bethiganti, Naveen Grew pursued his early education from Gayatri Vidyalayam, Siddipet and Graduated from Aurora Engineering College, Hyderabad. His sister Navya is married to Mallikarjun Palle.

Career[edit]

In 2013, He joined a Nishumbitha Theatre Group[5] and trained under Gold medalist, Dr. Ram Mohan Hulagundi[6][7] and Specialized as Mime artist, that took him to Stages like Ravindra Bharathi and Lamakaan.

In 2014, made his film debut with Aadi starrer Pyar Mein Padipoyane and shot to fame with his performance as Vishnu in Tharun Bhascker's Pelli Choopulu.

Netflix's Pitta Kathalu is his most recent release, followed by upcoming Directorial Debut with Ramanna Youth which he has also written and playing the lead in, expected to release late 2021.
