Nelliyod Vasudevan Namboodiri

Nelliyod Vasudevan Namboodiri is a Kathakali artist from Kerala, India. He was born in 1940 to Vishnu Namboodiri and Parvathi Antharjanam. Vasudevan completed his education in Sanskrit, Vedam, Thantram and joined the Kerala Kalamandalam for 9 years to learn Vesham. His guru is Vazhenkada Kunchu Nair. He is known as a master of "Thadi" in Kathakali.

Awards: Rigatta's 'Natyaratna' title and gold medal in 1976, Thulaseevana award in 1988, Kalamandalam award, Sangeethanataka academy award, Central Govt Felloship, Onamthuruth temple 'Natyavisarad' title.

Vasudevan became a school teacher for 20 years. His wife is Sreedevi Antharjanam and he has two children.
