History
Main article: History of New York International F.C.
New York International F.C. was founded in 2019, after the Metro division side of Beyond FC broke away to form its own new club[2]. The new club decided to showcase and celebrate its large multicultural group of players by using this as a key part of its new name and identity[3]
2019/20 Season
In the club's inaugural season, New York International F.C. were top of the Metro South conference (with a record of P9,W8,D0,L1 and a game in-hand) when the Coronavirus pandemic forced the season to be canceled[4]. On the 22nd of September 2019, in just the club's second official game, the club achieved its biggest ever win, winning 7-0 against FC Partizani NY[5]. New York International F.C. was subsequently promoted to Division 3 ahead of the 2020/21 season.
2020/21 Season
In a delayed 2020/21 season, New York International F.C. will compete in Division 3 of the Cosmopolitan Soccer League.[6] The season is due to begin in March 2021.
Colours and badge
New York International's colors are Black and Gold. Their alternative (away) colors are White, Black and Gold.
The New York International badge pays homage to the club's roots referencing the club's motto "Rise, together as one", the club's multicultural backgrounds, and also the former clubs that the founding members previously were members of.[7]
In December 2020, US Soccer website and blog, Protagonist Soccer, listed New York International F.C. as one of the top 20 kits in lower league soccer[8]
