Nihal Tauro is an Indian singer. He was a contestant in the television talent show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Kannada Season 15[1]. He was also a contestant in the Indian reality show Indian Idol Season 12,[2] and was the fourth runner-up of the show.[3][4]

Personal life

Nihal Tauro’s mother, Pricila Tauro is a homemaker and his father, Herald Tauro was a choirmaster earlier but now works in a private bank. Nihal’s father was very passionate about music and aspired to be a singer but due to the financial conditions of the family, he started working at a very young age to support his family.

Nihal Tauro also has a younger sibling, whose name is not known.

Early life

He did his schooling in Tamil Nadu and pursued a Bachelor of Commerce as his graduation course. He was inclined towards music since his childhood and used to participate in various singing competitions in his school and college. This is due to the fact Nihal’s dad – Herald was a part-time choirmaster. His full-time job was at the bank. Besides being a music enthusiast, Herald is an excellent writer and composer, which made Nihal develop his interest in music right from his childhood.

Musical career

Nihal has participated in a lot of music reality shows at an early age and earned a lot of popularity. Nihal was one of the finalists in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 15 on Zee Kannada. He has also won the Daijiworld Studio Voice title and he won the Voice of Udupi title too. He has participated in many reality shows and received many honours. He had also done more than 200 stage shows in India, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar.
