Nimer “Neem” Basha trained under the tutelage of Emmy Award-winning writer, Barry Goldsmith (The Joan Rivers Show), and has employed his knowledge to write several scripts, both feature-length and short. In 2010, Neem co-founded Montage Cinema Productions. That year, he wrote, directed, and co-produced a feature film titled Ten-Buck Baton.[1] The film was screened at four film festivals, from New York to Atlanta, and won four awards, including Best Feature Film at the New York/Los Angeles International Film Festival. The film was also shown at the legendary New York Film Academy, where Neem and his team were invited to speak about the art of filmmaking.

Under the Montage Cinema umbrella, Neem continues to write, direct, and produce, including his latest films Home Invasion and Repentance, both of which went into production in summer of 2014, and are expected for release in 2015.

Also in 2014, Neem directed and wrote the concept for a music video, “Drink Up Freak Out”, which received positive feedback all over social media.[2] Neem also wrote and co-directed another music video, “Getting Out Of My Own Way,” which launched in January 2015, and was also well-received by viewers.[3]

Neem co-wrote a short film titled Reality Bytes, which was produced in 2012 by DewIt Productions, based in Los Angeles. Other scripts Neem wrote include a film titled Social Medium, a television pilot titled Regis Royal, and a number of other projects that will be produced in the near future.

In early 2015, Neem directed his first commercial. With that, he now has created just about every type of production: feature films, short films, music videos, and commercials.

In addition to his production work, Neem is the editor-in-chief and lead writer for the fashion and entertainment magazine, Vicissitude. He oversees all the writing aspects of the magazine, and his articles, including the renowned “Neem’s Themes” feature, are always hits with readers. He arranges many of the celebrity interviews and artist profiles for Vicissitude. As chief editor, Neem is also involved in the marketing and promotion of the magazine and its related events.[4]

Neem is also an event host and stand-up comedian. He graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Pace University, with a degree in Media and Communication Arts. Neem hails from Brooklyn, NY, and is married to "Tiny Bottoms Photography" founder Jackie Basha, with whom he has two sons, Jacob and Christian.
