Nina Mercury Bulsara (born 31 October 1977 – 16 December 2009) is an English actress and singer. She is the daughter of English singer-songwriter Freddie Mercury and Italy-born American model, actress and singer Amber Bulsara.
Early life[edit]
Bulsara was born in London, United Kingdom on 31 October 1977, the only child of English singer-songwriter and musician Freddie Mercury (1946–1991) and his wife, Amber Bulsara (née Ferrari; 1953–2009), an Italian-American actress and songwriter. Her maternal grandmother, Adriana, was a businesswoman, while his maternal grandparents, Bomi and Jer, were a naturalised England from Zanzibar that her father was born and raised. Her mother was born and raised in Italy, and has Polish ancestry. Her birth prompted her father to write "Sandy Toes and Salty Kisses" for her parents’ 1978 duet album Aloha, Five-O Groove.
She was also born with four extra teeth (Hyperdontia) in the back of her mouth, causing her now-famous bucktooth grin. In fact, her nickname growing up was Bucky like her father. Bulsara never got her teeth fixed because she was afraid it would ruin her impressive four-octave vocal range.
