Nod-Krai (Chinese: 挪德卡莱; pinyin: Nuódé Kǎlái) is an upcoming region in the video game Genshin Impact published by miHoYo. It is the seventh region to be added to the game, and is scheduled to be released with version Luna I on September 10, 2025.

Overview

HoYoverse first released information about Nod-Krai at Gamescom in 2025.[1][2][3]

Nod-Krai is positioned at the southernmost edge of the nation of Snezhnaya, standing as an autonomous frontier on the periphery of Teyvat. It is rough and lawless, with only a thin layer of governance provided by a group known as the Voynich Guild. People from all over Teyvat gather in Nod-Krai, and it is a melting pot of different cultures. Among the various organizations there is the Frostmoon Scions, a group of people who worship the Moon Maiden (goddess), Columbina.[4] The Times of India described the group as one whose "secrets could shake the convention of elemental lore in Teyvat".[5]

Lore

The people of Nod-Krai are able to use a special power known as Kuuvahki that is related to Columbina.[4][6] There is a Fatui stronghold in the area. In past times, the area was considered dangerous yet lively, but it became more dangerous than usual before the Traveler's arrival there. At some point, large-scale development was planned for the area, but no traces of it exist to the current day, unless one counts the many scraps lying around.

After learning new information during an expedition before the events of the game, the Knights of Favonius of Mondstadt went to Nod-Krai with their grand master, Varka. There, Varka noticed the situation in Nod-Krai was very tense, warning the Traveler through a letter that they had best be prepared before arriving. In Natlan, following the conclusion of that nation’s Archon Quest, Pyro Archon Mavuika also told the Traveler that they are likely to have a conflict with the Fatui when they enter Snezhnaya.

Music

The Nod-Krai music was produced by HoYo-MiX and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, the London Voices choir, singer Aurora, and renowned folk musicians.[7][8]

Release

Nod-Krai is scheduled to be released in Version "Luna I" of the game on September 10, 2025.[9][10]
