Nodeflux is an Indonesian video analytics startup founded in 2016 by two engineers from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) graduates, using deep learning and computer vision to provide its customers with processed information on recorded footage.[1][2][3][4][5]
History
Founded in 2016, Nodeflux initially started as a big data analytical platform before settling into AI vision in 2017.[2] Started at a small office in a rented home in Kemang, South Jakarta, Nodeflux began seeking funding by joining Indigo, a startup incubation and acceleration program sponsored by Telkom.[6][7] In 2018, Nodeflux secured further funding from East Venture Group.[4][7] In the same year, Nodeflux was entrusted by POLRI to provide a face recognition system to support the security of several high-profile international events.[8][9]
In 2019, Nodeflux was ranked top 25 among 90 companies during the 2019 Face Recognition Vendor Test by NIST, the first Indonesian company to do so.[5][10][11] Nodeflux also won NTT Startup Challenge, a competition to nurture Southeast Asian startup ecosystems.[12] They also achieved more than 90% Local Content certificate, the highest among AI companies in Indonesia.[5][13]
They also worked on several developments of AI concepts such as facial recognition and object detection with the intention of improving the public safety applications of these technologies, face payment (payment using face recognition), face loyalty (loyalty points for customers using face recognition), and AI on the edge (AI implementation in remote areas using available devices offline).[14][15][16][17]
Products Overview
