Constantinos Porter North Morgan (born January 6, 1980) is a British Greek novelist, writer, and blogger based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his fictional blog London Preppy, in addition to his book Highlights of My Last Regret.[1]

Morgan's style of writing is satirical and focuses on the lives of young people in urban settings. He writes exclusively in first person narrative.[2] In 2012, his debut novel, Exit Through The Wound, was nominated for a Polari First Book Prize.[3][citation needed]

Early life and education[edit]

In 1980, Morgan was born in Athens, Greece, where he later moved to England in 1998. In England, Morgan graduated from Sheffield University in 2001 with a degree in Business Studies. In 2002, he received a post-graduate degree in Marketing from Manchester University.[4][5]

Career[edit]

Morgan created the blog London Preppy in 2007 as a way of connecting with friends after coming out. As the blog grew, however, he stopped utilizing personal work and therefore created the fictional character known as London Preppy.[4][6]

In 2010, he was approached to contribute a short story to the anthology Boys & Girls, compiled and edited by Paul Burston. His first novel, Exit Through The Wound, was published in 2011 by Limehouse Books. The story is presented as a first-person account from Maine Hudson's point of view, who is a 24-year-old Londoner. It also focuses on his personal, professional and family relationships.[7] Burston, writing for TimeOut, called it "a seriously impressive debut."[4] The novel was shortlisted for the Polari First Book Prize in 2012, which led to the newspaper The Independent calling him a "bitterly funny satirist.".[8]

Morgan's second novel, Highlights of My Last Regret, was published in 2014. The Independent called it "cold, snobbish, cruel...hilarious", and praised its "glitteringly alluring" prose.[2]
