Oasis is the annual cultural festival of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani). It is an event usually held towards the end of October every year. The 2016 edition of Oasis, themed “Of Gods and Men”, featured the participation of more than 6000 students from 200 colleges across the country and had a budget of approximately Rs 1.5 crores.

Oasis was the brainchild of a group of students and was first held in 1971 and to this day, remains student run. Every year, it garners considerable media attention and several well-known sponsors. This years' Oasis, themed “Realms of Fiction” will happen from the 31st of October to the 3rd of November.

Oasis is a 96-hour non-stop festival with events going on well through the night. These events include music, drama, dance, stage shows, fashion and treasure hunts. Oasis is organised by the Students Council for Cultural Activities (StuCCA), a body composed of the President of BITS and the General Secretary, along with the heads of major departments (Department of Sponsorship, Department of Reception and Accommodation, Controls, Department of Visual Media, Department of Art Design and Publicity and the Department of Publications and Correspondence). In addition to them, there are numerous clubs and departments that work behind the scenes to ensure the success of the events.
