Obaid Azam Azmi (2 June 1970) was born in Sudanipur, Azamgarh, India. He is an Urdu poet and lyricist for Bollywood.[1]
Career
Obaid Azam was born in Azamgarh district, and had a passion for poetry since childhood. This Indian Urdu poet is known for his contribution to Urdu literature. As his father, Shaikh Shamim Ahmed, has been an MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) from Mumbai, Maharashtra, Obaid Azam has participated in Mushairas and Kavi sammelans.[2][3] Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi & Obaid Azam Azmi at Jashn-e-Adab 8th Poetry Festival 2019 Phase-1, Jamia Hamdard.[4]
