Olatunde Oladipo (born September 27, 1989), popularly known by his stage name Olatunde Sleek, is a Nigerian rapper, actor, and songwriter currently signed to Dmcb Entertainment. He rose to limelight after performing his single titled "Tubu Tubu", which features vocals from Brymo at the Nigerian Breweries-organised Star Trek event.[1] He was also nominated for several awards when he dropped his single "Just Me" that was featured on tooXclusive as one of the most downloaded songs from an act in Ojo.[2]
Early life and education
Born in the late 1980s in a family of five, including parents and siblings. He started singing in a church choir before discovering his flair for rap music in Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria, where he completed his basic education at Babyland Nursery and Primary School. He went on to complete his secondary education at Ojo High School. He is currently studying computer science at the University of Lagos.[3]
Career
Olatunde Sleek started his music career in 2006 as an underground rapper before signing a music contract with Dmcb Entertainment. He made songs like "Just Me", "Tubu Tubu", and "My Life".[4] In 2015, he made a comeback after releasing the critically acclaimed song "Dreams",[5] featuring popular British singer Gabrielle in a remake of her song "Dreams".[6] In 2016, he released the video[7] for his earlier released single "Playground in the Sky".[8]
