Old Colony Montessori School is a private, independent pre-K through 3rd grade school. It is one of the oldest Montessori institutions south of Boston, and was founded in 1963 in Hingham, MA.

Old Colony Montessori follows the teaching principles of Maria Montessori, and serves students ages 18 months to 9 years old. The school follows a Montessori curriculum and philosophy to teach core subjects including sensorial, math, language, reading, culture, music and practical life skills in a highly experiential and individualized manner. The school has one Toddler classroom, three Children’s House classes and one Elementary class. On average, the school has about 100 students enrolled each year.

Old Colony Montessori School partners with local establishment including Massachusetts Gymnastics Center, South Shore Conservatory and Holly Hill Farm to provide students additional enrichment opportunities.

The school serves students from many towns on the South Shore of Boston and beyond, including Cohasset, Hingham, Norwell, Hull, Marshfield, Hanover, Pembroke, Brockton, Braintree, Weymouth and Quincy.
