Omar Alaa Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, (Arabic: عمر علاء محمد حسني مبارك ; born 21 February 2000), known as Omar Alaa Mubarak (Arabic: عمر علاء مبارك‎), is an Egyptian public figure. Omar was born in Washington, D.C. in the United States for Egyptian parents (Alaa Mubarak[1] & Heddy Rassekh) as the second grandson after (Mohamed Alaa Mubarak 1997–2009) for Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and Suzanne Mubarak. Omar lived most of his life in Egypt, where he received his education.

Education

Omar joined Cairo American College in Cairo, Egypt, where he received his education and graduated in 2018 at the Great Pyramid of Giza. Omar's graduation made so many news agencies write about it, as it was officially the first event Alaa Mubarak, Heddy Rassekh, Gamal Mubarak, Khadiga Elgammal, and the rest of Mubarak's grandsons took part in after Mubarak's sons were released.

Omar Mubarak joined the The American University in Cairo in 2019, then he travelled back to the United States to join Seton Hall University,[2] While Omar was studying abroad, Omar launched his own project[3][4] Omar also made great efforts to attract tourists to visit Egypt and made progress through his own Instagram account, which attracted Jaylen Brown[5] to bring his family and visit Egypt. Besides, Jaylen also promoted and encouraged people to visit Egypt as well.

Omar, as well as his father, is a businessman who started his career in Egypt then widened to be international.

Personal life

In August 2017, an official statement from Al Ahly SC stated that they had signed Omar Mubarak[6] to their U-19 team.[7][8] Since then, Mubarak has participated in two seasons at the Egyptian club, making very few appearances. In that time, Omar managed to strengthen relationships with many famous athletes like Mohamed Salah,[9] Emad Moteab, Mohamed Zidan, and others. At the club, Mubarak wore the No. 97 jersey in recognition of his deceased brother who was born in the year 1997. Mubarak's brother "Mohamed Mubarak" passed away in May 2009 at the age of 12.

During Omar's journey in the United States, Omar fought with his friend above Statue of Liberty that made him receive many critical replies that forced him to hide the videos and photos.[10]

Omar and Mubarak Family

Omar and Hosni Mubarak had a strong relationship that obviously appeared throughout Omar's shared photos on different social media platforms.

Despite Mubarak and his sons being in prisons, Omar supported his grandfather (Hosni Mubarak), his uncle Gamal Mubarak, and his father (Alaa Mubarak) as well through social media since he was 15 until they were released and attended his graduation.

Omar's last seen was with Omar Alaa Mubarak in a photo Omar shared a week before Mubarak's death,[11][12][13][14]

One day after participating in Mubarak's Military Funeral, Omar Alaa Mubarak was in the 7th rank most searched on Google Search in Egypt, according to Veto Gate News
