Opensys (M) Berhad is a Malaysian financial services and information technology company.[1][2][3] The company provides solutions for financial services, telecommunications and utilities industries with its main product being Efficient Service Machines (ESM).[4][5] The company is listed on the Bursa Malaysia stock exchange with an estimated market cap of $57 million.[6][7]

OpenSys (M) Berhad was founded by Tan Kee Chung and Chee Hong Soon on December 7, 1995.[8][9]

The company started operating in 1996 when it started providing software services to NCR Corporation. In 2001 Opensys, rolled out their non-cash efficient service machines (ESM) for banks and other financial institutions.[10] In 2004, the company was listed in Mesdaq (ACE Market) on the Bursa Malaysia stock exchange.[11]

As of January 2004, these ESMs were sold to local banking institutions including Maybank, Alliance Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Public Bank.

In 2020, the company launched an online marketplace that allows users to purchase solar panels.[12][13][14] In March 2021, the company launched a digital payments solution called X-KIOSK.[15][16]

Forbes included the company in its list of Asia's 200 Best Under A Billion companies.[17][18] The company also won the International Finance Technology Award in 2021.[19]
