OpenTripPlanner (OTP) [1] is an open source multi-modal public transport journey planner software system, focusing on travel by scheduled public transportation in combination with bicycling, walking, and mobility services including bike share and ride hailing.[1]
OTP started as a co-operative effort among TriMet, OpenPlans, and the developers of Five Points, OneBusAway, and Graphserver, as well as several independent developers.
OTP was designed for GTFS as input format. OTP 2.0 is extended to fully support NeTEx and SIRI as input formats.[2]
The following public transport route planners are based on Open Trip Planner platform:[3]
Name | Region | Agency |
---|---|---|
Matka.fi | Finland | Ministry of Transport and Communications |
Matkahuolto Reittiopas | Finland | Matkahuolto |
Peatus.ee | Estonia | Estonian Transport Administration |
