Opus Software Solutions is a global company that provides computing services to the financial services industry. It was incorporated on June 1, 1997 and has 1500 employees and 150 customers across Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa & the United States. Opus's clients include some of the largest payment networks,[1] remittance providers, card issuers & emerging payment companies in the mobile & internet space.[2][3]

Opus has its corporate headquarters in Pune, India.[4] It has development centers in Pune, Chennai [5] with Sales offices in Mumbai,[6] Dubai,[7] Singapore,[8] Princeton(NJ) & San Francisco(CA).[9]

Facilities[edit]

Opus has two fully equipped engineering centers (in Pune and Chennai) with Tandem, IBM, SUN and HP servers, ATMs, Kiosks, HSMs, POS devices and software engineering tools. It has created an Innovation lab EPIC to help customers tryout new Proof-of-Concepts & trial runs. In late 2001, Opus created a separate product division with a focus on equities trading and ATM switching solutions.[10] Opus is an ISO 27001, ISO 9001:2008, CMMI L5 certified company. Opus is one of the first 10 companies worldwide to be awarded the CMMI L5 for Services certification.[11][11]

Subsidiary[edit]

In 2006, Opus created a fully owned subsidiary ElectraCard services to build, sell its own Payment suite of products branded Electra.[12] It leverages the unmatched flexibility of the electra platform, deep industry expertise and an innovative approach to provide precise processing services globally. In 2010, MasterCard acquired 12.5% stake in ElectraCard Services.[2][13] ECS was listed in Deloitte Fast 50 India in 2011.[14] On May 19, 2014, MasterCard announced the acquisition of Electracard Services for an undisclosed amount.[2][15]
