Oud Al Muteena (Arabic:عود المطينة), or also Oud Al Muteena, is a community of the Emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Sector 2 in the north-central area of Dubai, bordering the Emirate of Sharjah.
Territory
The territory occupies an area of 7.4 km2[1] in northern Dubai, bordering Sharjah.
The area is bordered to the north by 102 Street which marks the border with Sharjah, to the east by Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street (D 54), to the south by Tunis Street (D 93) and to the west by Algeria Street (D 56). [2]
The neighborhood is divided into three sub-communities:
- Oud Al Muteena First (community code 265);
- Oud Al Muteena Second (community code 266);
- Oud Al Muteena Third (community code 268)
It is a residential area, consisting of a mix of villas and apartments, located in a quiet area, away from the frenetic life of downtown Dubai and therefore very popular with families. The neighborhood is amply equipped with services such as schools, supermarkets, parks, and places of worship for various religions (Christian churches, Muslim mosques and Hindu temples).
There are no Metro stops in the neighborhood but it is served by several surface transport lines.
