History

Formation and Overeign EP (2025–present)

Overeign was formed in 2025 and immediately began working on their first self-titled EP Overeign. The three-track EP was recorded at Z's home studio and entirely self-produced. Following the release of their EP, the band is currently playing local shows around the Nashville area.

Musical style

Overeign has been described as instrumental metalcore and progressive metalcore. The band's guitar work prominently features slide tapping, dissonance, and technical riffs. The band has been instrumentally compared to Erra, Periphery, Spiritbox, and Sleep Token.
