P.Priime
Peace Emmanuel Oredope (born 28 March 2002), professionally known as "P.Priime" is a Nigerian record producer, creative director, and sound engineer. He began his professional career in 2018, and has since produced multiple hit Afrobeats records with notable acts like Olamide, Peruzzi, Teni, Fireboy DML, Zlatan Ibile, and DJ Cuppy.[1]
Early Life
P.Priime was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He developed an early interest in music when he joined his family's church choir at five years old, where he learned to play the drums, piano, saxophone, and guitar. He began producing when he was 14 and was heavily influenced by Sarz, Major Lazer, Skrillex, and Jon Bellion. He graduated from Nuga Paul High School, after which he enrolled in the Sarz Academy initiative organized by Nigerian record producer Sarz in 2018[2].
Career
His breakthrough as a record producer came in 2019, when he produced Fireboy DML's hit record "Like I Do", which achieved critical acclaim. He went on to produce three songs on Zlatan Ibile's debut studio album Zanku, after which he produced DJ Cuppy's hit single "Gelato"[3], which also received critical acclaim on the Nigerian charts. In 2020, he produced seven songs on Olamide's recently released album Carpe Diem, including the chart-topping single "Loading" featuring BaBoyTimz[4][5][6]
