American Telugu Convention-2018[edit]
The major Telugu Associations in the US hold separate biennial conventions in the US, mostly on the same dates during the year. Most of the members of these Associations are common across these major associations and they travel to different parts of the country to attend these events. This has been resulting in duplication of efforts at the cost of hundreds of thousands of man hours and scarce financial resources, which can otherwise be used in the US and the mother land for the benefit of the needy. Dr. Mallareddy from T.A.T.A. and Dr. Hanumanth Reddy from American Telugu Association(ATA) took initiative to erase the boundariesand hold a single convention with these two associations. This historical joint-convention is named American Telugu Convention-2018 and is scheduled to be held from May 31 to June 2, at Irving Convention Center, Dallas, Texas. This will go into the history of Telugu Associations that Telugus are capable of exhibiting unity in diversity.
