Personal life

Career

Pam Coy is the owner and general manager of Viking Village Foods since 1989, taking over her father's business. She also owns and manages other businesses, including a convenience store, car wash, and restaurant.[5][6] Under Coy's management, Viking Village Foods has expanded several times.[7][5] In 2003 she oversaw the move to a larger building, and most recently had a renovation in 2020,[8] which included adding an in-store pharmacy.[9]
The store has participated in local events and initiatives. It has hosted summer cookouts that contributed funds to local causes such as the United Fund,[10] and it has been involved in fundraising efforts for community projects, including support for a local splash pad.[11] One of their events is a competition with the Baraboo store in an annual steak sandwich drive, each store raising money for their local high school athletics.[12][7]
