Park Jung-hwa (born May 8, 1995[1]), better known by her stage name Jung-hwa, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is known as a member of the South Korean girl group EXID under Wellmade Yedang. She is best known for her roles in Webtoon Hero Toondra Show (2015).

Early life[edit]

She was born on May 8, 1995 in Anyang, South Korea. She graduated from Indeogwon Middle School, Baekyoung High School. She attended Global Cyber Univesity, where she studied broadcast and entertainment. When she was in 3rd grade, she trained at the Drama School. She trained in JYP Entertainment before joining Yedang Entertainment, and became a member of the girl group EXID.[2]

EXID officially debuted on February 15, 2012 with the release of their debut single, "Whoz That Girl".[3]

Solo activities[edit]

She made her acting debut as a child actress in a bit part in Wives on Strike (2004).[4] On 2005, she became a co-host of NATV's Freshful Children Congress.[5]

In the year 2015, She became a cast member in the variety television show Soulmates Returns.[6][7][8][9] In 2015, as her first major leading role, she portrayed Yook Ah-young in the drama Webtoon Hero Toondra Show.[10][11][12] She has also appeared in many music videos such as Wonder Girls's "Tell Me" (2007), Huh Gak and LE's "Whenever You Play That Song" (2011), I-Rex's "That You're My Girl" (2013), RK Kim Seong-hui's "10:10" and "You Are My Everything" (2014).[13][14][15][16][17]
