Paul-Émile Rochon
Doctor Paul-Émile Rochon (1878–1966) was president of ACFEO.
Hewas born in Saint-Eustache, Quebec on October 7, 1878.[1] He received his degree in medicine magna cum laude in 1902,[2] and lived in Clarence Creek, Ontario, from 1913 to 1946.[3] He was president of ACFEO,[4] a lobbying organization for Franco-Ontarians from 1934 to 1938, and died in Ottawa on March 11, 1966.
Rochon proposed to change the name of ACFÉO to AFO (Association Franco Ontarienne). It was not accepted at the time. It is only recently that the association became known as the AFO (Assemblée de la Francophonie de l'Ontario.)
