History[edit]
The foundation date of Phulkuri Ashar on 28th September 1974 is attributed to the earliest existence of its predecessors. Different children's organizations operate in various cities throughout the country, such as Dishari, Golap Kuri, Jhinge Ful, and Sobuj Mela. Eventually, these scattered efforts merged under one name to apply for registration. To reflect the floral theme of many of the merging groups, the name Phulkuri Ashar (Collection of Flower Buds)
was selected.[5] The Ministry of Social Welfare Bangladesh officially registered Phulkuri Ashar on 15th December 1974, with the registration number Dh-0459.[6]
