Physics Wallah, abbreviated as PW, is a Noida-based online ed-tech platform for students of classes 6 to 12 and those preparing for JEE and NEET exams. Physics Wallah has over 7 million registered students and over 10 million Youtube subscribers as of 2022. Physics Wallah launched its website with video lectures, and study materials for classes 6 to 12 and JEE and NEET. On Physics Wallah platform, students prepare for various medical and engineering entrance exams in India including NEET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced and other state engineering common entrance tests (CETs), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) and Olympiads as well as School/Board Exams. Alakh's lectures on YouTube are primarily based on on the NCERT Textbooks syllabus published by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and focused on medical and engineering entrance exams including NEET and JEE. From 2020, he started a paid course for 12th, Lakshya batch. Alakh aims to provide affordable quality educational content to millions of students through his YouTube Channel and Physics Wallah App/Website.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

PW (PhysicsWallah) was founded in 2016 by Alakh Pandey and later joined by Prateek Maheshwari during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The founder, Alakh Pandey, was born in the Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his graduation in mechanical engineering field from Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur. Since 2017, he has been teaching, Physics and Chemistry on YouTube for free. After completing his BTech in 2015, he came to Prayagraj and started taking coaching classes in partnership.
In the initial days of PW, the organisation was focused on YouTube, but in 2020 during COVID-19 pandemic in India, Alakh Pandey launched the PW app. According to Alakh Pandey, PW aims to provide students across India with a high-quality and affordable educational content free of cost or minimal cost. PW will be launching educational content in nine vernacular languages, including Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Odia, Malayalam, and Kannad.[2][3][4]

PW offline[edit]
PW runs more than 20 offline centers or PW Pathshalas across 18 cities across Delhi, Noida, Patna, Lucknow, Kolkata, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Jaipur, Pune, Ranchi, Bhopal, Varanasi, Dhanbad with more than 10,000 students.[7][8] In July 2022, PW launched its first pure offline centre PW Vidyapeeth in Kota, Rajasthan.[9]
