Pickup Alpha is a dating coach service founded by Mike PickupAlpha in 2012. [1] The service has been popularized by the largest collection of pickup infields held in Las Vegas, Nevada. It primarily attracts a demographic of professionals who have an academic or career focused mindset.

Mike, an engineer, turned pickup artist, turned dating coach, founded Pickup Alpha in 2012. In his videos, he speaks on the struggles of dating coming from an Asian American family. Because of the strong push towards academia and the workforce, dating and relationships were avoided. It was only later in life that he learned expertise on meeting and attracting women. Naturally, he found a similar need among many Asian men, and began sharing what he’s learned through practical confidence and communication skills.[1] Pickup Alpha is now a dedicated custom service where men learn skills to meet and attract women. Over the years, it has taught over 600 students via weekend Vegas immersion by approaching women in nightclub and daytime settings. These students come from a variety of backgrounds, most are Asian Americans and minorities who find affinity with the struggles Mike mentions in his YouTube videos.[2]
The YouTube channel, PickupAlpha, has over 100 videos and 1.8 Million views.[3]

Bootcamp[edit]
PickupAlpha offers a weekend immersion program where clients travel to Las Vegas. There, they experience practical ways to meet women in places like the malls, clubs, casinos, bars, etc. The sessions are accompanied by feedback, homework, and remarks, aiming to better blind spots students have.[4] It consists of a Consultation Call, Pre-infield Lecture, Night & Day game, Video breakdown and personalized homework.[2]
Live-In Immersion[edit]
This allows clients to have a lifestyle approach in developing their attraction skill set. The program ranges anywhere from 1 week to 1 month to 1 year. They live with Mike and are able to go out every night to different clubs such as Xs, Omnia, Surrender, Miracle Mile, Fashion, Marquee, Jewel, Intrigue, Encore Beach Club and Hakkasan.[5]
Skype Program[edit]
This program allows students one-on-one coaching with Mike regularly through Skype. Mike will walk the students through various information regarding dating, conversations, texting, and planning dates. It also consists of homework and accountability that students use to improve their skill set.[4] [6]
Location[edit]
Pickup Alpha is based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. Most of the coaching programs take place at nightclubs, and casinos at night. During the day, the program can take place at the Las Vegas strip, the mall, and casinos. There are very rare scenarios where Mike will personally fly out to another city and provide custom coaching. This is done on a per message basis.
Approach[edit]
Mike uses a practical approach to learning attraction skills. Rather than relying on chance encounters to meet women, Mike encourages students to create these chances: Man meets woman, because man wants to. It is a systemized approach that relies on the volume of creating chance encounters as well. In some of his programs, students are encouraged to track this to manage their improvements.[1]
