Kalpana Sharma Campbell professionally known as Pinky Campbell was born on February 15, 1979 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. She is an Indian American and television personality. Her interest in modelling started at very young age. She participated in various fashion shows, commercials & modelling assignments in Jaipur where she was known by her birth name. When she turned Seventeen, Pinky decided to pursue an interior designer degree from Berlin in the 1998. After completing the curriculum, she returned back to Mumbai, where she enrolled in Roshan Taneja’s acting course and was approached to film roles, fashion shows and commercials. In 2004 after the demise of her father, Pinky changed her stage name back from "Mohini Sharma" to her birth name to pay honor to his memory. Pinky still retains her interest in designing, as she like to keep up with modern fashions and trends. In addition she has recently started an eCommerce business named as Pinlinshop which have a range of skincare and wellness products.

Campbell was born in Jaipur, India in a Hindu family. Pinky wanted to be an actress ever since she was 6 years old. She worked really hard as a young girl and moved to Mumbai to be an actress in the year 1998 to become an actress and complete her ambitions. She has a younger sister, Sapana Sharma, who is into Bollywood movie production (currently working for Sanjay Leela Bhansali Production) and two brothers namely Dipendra & Gajendra. Gajendra is the youngest brother and Dipendra Vasistha, an actor as well, who has last acted in ‘Holiday’ movie 2014. Pinky lost both of her parents in the years 2004 & 2015. Campbell attended Maharaja High School in Jaipur, where she studied History major.

Pinky gained popularity from her first featuring Bollywood film named ‘Censor’ which was directed by Late Mr. Dev Anand. In the film Pinky portrayed the character of ‘Mohini’ and thus decided to adapt "Mohini Sharma" as a stage name for her career in Bollywood. Soon after her film ‘Censor’, she did various characters in films like ‘Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat’ (2001) directed by Mr. Rajiv Rai (Arjun Rampal debut film) starring Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Kirti Reddy, Umesh Mehra’s film ‘Yeh Mohabbat Hain' (2002) Starring Rahul Bhatt, Jonny Lever, Parikshit Sahni, Akanksha Malhotra & Danny Denzongpa and RajKumar Kohli’s ‘Jaani Dushman : Ek Anokhi Kahani’ (2002) Starring Akshay Kumar, Raj Babbar, Sunny Deol, Aditya Pancholi, Sunil Shetty, Manisha Koirala, Armaan Kohli, Aftab Shivdesani & others. This inspired her to fly even higher and she moved to Los Angeles. There she took her acting education from Stella Adler Academy of Acting between the years 2004–2005. Apart from feature films, Pinky has been a part of various advertisements and commercials in which she worked alongside International stars such as George Clooney and David Beckham. Some of the brands that Pinky has been associated with include Pepsi, Target, Budweiser, Citi Bank and Martini. She also had the privilege of being chosen as the Brand Ambassador of "Sansui". Pinky’s aspiration only grew with time as she started with her first Hollywood featuring film ’An American Carol’(2008) directed by David Zucker. Soon after she did another flims like David Mackenzie’s ‘Spread’(2009) & Lawrence Trilling’s ‘Group Sex’(2010). Pinky has also been captivating in many television shows like ‘How I Met Your Mother’ , ‘My Boys’, ‘Numb3rs’, ‘Greek’, ‘Swingtown’ & ‘True Blood’. She’s been spreading her magic of screen as well while she was the Production Assistant for many Hit numbers like: ‘Yes Man’ Directed by Peyton Reed, Starring Jim Carrey, ‘He's Just Not That into You’ directed by Ken Kwapis & others.
