Pius Olakunle Osunyikanmi,(August 3, 1971 - ). A native of Ile-Oluji in Ondo State, Osunyikanmi is the current DG of Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He succeeds Ambassador Mamman Daura.

Biography and Education[edit]

Pius Osunyikanmi was born to the family of Pa Christopher Kehinde Osunyikanmi and Madam Esther Osunyikanmi on the 3rd of August, 1971, in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State. He completed his Primary School education at CAC primary school at Ile-Oluji in 1983. He Proceeded to Orere Grammer School, Ile -Oluji for his Secondary School education where he graduated in 1989.

He went on to Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti ( Formerly Ondo State University) for his first degree in Political Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science in 1997. He has a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan in 2001. In 2008, he bagged a PhD in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko,Ondo State. Pius Osunyikanmi also got a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Abuja in 2018.

Career[edit]

Pius Osunyikanmi served Ondo State in various capacities as Special Assistant to the Honorable Commissioner of Health, Secretary to the State Government and the Honorable Minister Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development , Olusegun Mimiko between 1999 - 2006 . He was appointed the Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Intergovermental Affairs and Multilateral Relations between 2009 - 2010 and Honorable Commissioner for Education, Ondo State between 2010 - 2011.

He was appointed Special Adviser to Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on International relations between 2011 - 2013.

He was a part -time lecturer in the department of Political Science and Public Administration, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State on part -time basis between 2011 -2013.

He was appointed the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of The Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, Ministry of Foreign affairs in 2013 by Former President Goodluck Jonathan and his tenure was renewed in 2018 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
