The Plenty Valley Lions Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in the Melbourne suburb of Thomastown,[2] operating under license from Football Federation Victoria.[3] Currently competing in the northern conference of Victorian State League Division 4,[4] the club also operates a junior academy for boys and girls, and formerly operated a senior womens' team. The club was established on 19 May 1999[5] by members of the North Macedonian[6][7][8] community originally as an amateur club but gained membership into competitive state football in 2003.[9] While the club's Senior Men's squad has spent most of it's existence being based at R.G.C. Cook Recreational Reserve in Thomastown, the club's various youth groups also play home matches at Sycamore Reserve in Mill Park.[10]

The club's Senior Men's squad has spent most of it's existence in the lower half of the Victorian football league system, the squad have been Fifth and Sixth division premiers once respectively, and have also been promoted twice from the Seventh division.[11] The highest level that the Lions have competed at was Fourth division in 2007, but were narrowly relegated.[12][13] Since 2017, the Senior Men's squad has competed in the northern conference of the Victorian State League Division 4,[14][15] where the team finished third in 2019.[16]
