History[edit]

After being established in 1995, the company commenced its manufacturing operations from a small plant in Faridabad in 1997. In 2002, the company entered a joint venture in Assuit, Egypt, which marked their first foray into the international market. This merger was followed by another global manufacturing set-up in China in 2009 through Poly Medicure (Laiyang) Co. Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Poly Medicure Ltd. The company inaugurated a new plant in the Special Economic Zone of Jaipur. In 2011, Polymed was listed on the National Stock Exchange of India.[4]

Polymed acquired Plan 1 Health, an Italy-based manufacturing company[5]. In 2018, the company introduced and enhanced its oncology and vascular access segments through newly acquired technology. In 2021, the company got its wholly-owned subsidiary registered in the United States - PolyHealth Medical Inc.

Today Polymed owns five manufacturing facilities in India (three in Faridabad, one in Jaipur, and one in Haridwar); three overseas facilities (one wholly-owned Italian subsidiary and one in China with a third joint venture in Egypt) covering a total of more than 0.5 million square feet.[6]
